Miki & Aaron | Dillingham Ranch | 10.06.12

Seahorse Backdrop | Romantic Logo
Miki & Aaron welcomed over 175 guests to their chic estate wedding at Dillingham Ranch on October 6th, 2012. The wedding was simple yet stunning in between a row of palms that made a natural aisle in the back yard. After the 'I Dos' guests ventured to the front lawn to enjoy performances by THREE aerial artists from Samadhi Hawaii and live music by Aidan James. Dinner was under the stars in a romantically draped and chandelier lit clear top tent on the back lawn. The last toast of the evening was given by her bridesmaid Halla (pictured left) in which she compared the closeness of her relationship to the bride with that of peanut butter and jelly. It was one of the cutest little toasts you ever did hear, so we just HAD to capture the moment by having these two 'sisters from another mister' strike a pose with us! Congratulations to Miki & Aaron!

Jaclyn & Chris | Aloha Tower | 08.31.12

Sea Horse Backdrop | Whimsical Logo
The Girls are Back in Town!
Normally I select a cute little photo of the bride and groom for the blog post, but this was just too good to pass up! Jaclyn & Chris welcomed friends from all over the globe, a few of which were her bridesmaids and besties from back on the East Coast. After the gorgeous clock tower ceremony at Aloha Tower Marketplace, the guests enjoyed a well planned and thoughtful program of dinner and dancing under the stars. This crowd was a hoot and we couldn't wait to see what each new group would come up with! Take a look at our gallery page for a sampling of our favorites. If that piques your curiosity for more, head on over to our Facebook page to see Jaclyn & Chris's love{struck} photo album.

The Wedding Cafe | Ward Center | 08.22.12

Love{struck} had so much fun at the Wedding Cafe Wednesday Night Workshop entitled It's All About the Details. We debuted our newest backdrop, a bold red and white striped sensation we call Americana. This backdrop was inspired by a photo we saw in a magazine many moons ago. We brought it to the attention of a very popular backdrop company on the mainland who loved it so much, they made our dream a reality! We love it's bright cheery disposition and it's modern nod to the military. With five different bases on our island, we are excited to have something to offer our military brides who want something a bit more subtle than a flag. We also had a chance to show off our snazzy new burlap bunting displaying our name nice and high for all to see! The end of our presentation revealed a special surprise raffle of a custom designed guest book by a bookbinding artist in San Francisco valued at $225. We had a blast with everyone who came to play and enjoyed putting out our newest "trimmings" (or props) for the first time to our Wedding Cafe Workshop Attendees.  To see all the great images from this event click on the "gallery" tab above.

Check us out in action by watching the Wedding Cafe video. After the intro, skip ahead to 38:33 to watch our presentation and see my favorite props!

Sophia's 1st Birthday | Hale Koa | 05.12.12

Happy 1st Birthday to Sophia Gomes! Thanks to Tanna Dang from The Wedding Cafe for inviting love{struck} to be a part of her niece's first birthday!  Family and guests gathered at the Hale Koa Hotel for an afternoon filled with delicious food, fun games and lots of love!  Mosey on over to our gallery page to see a collage of some of our favorites.

Tanna and Tessa created a beautiful room with Tiffany blue linens, adorable photo frames for each of the guests, bright balloons and playfully colored flowers.

Tanna chose our Poppy backdrop paired with our "romantic" style logo customized in Sophia's birthday colors of pink and blue. Guests of all ages kept coming back for more photos and we felt blessed to create not only a fun experience but keepsake family photos!

Annie & Zac | Kualoa Ranch | 05.18.12

Check out our latest couple to be love{struck}-Annie & Zac! They exchanged vows at Kualoa Ranch last Saturday and we were honored to be a part of their special day. Mosey on over to our gallery page to see a collage of some of our favorites.

Annie was inspired by the gorgeous surroundings of the ranch to create a rustic decor which complimented the scenery to perfection! Some of our favorites were the raffia tied mason jars filled with peonies and hydrangea by The Floral Boutique and the clothespin escort card holder from Event Essentials. We also had a blast meeting TWO amazing photographers who we can't wait to work with again!  AlyssaPix Photography and Carissa Woo Photography

The Thielen's chose our Sea Horse backdrop paired with our "romantic" style logo customized in their wedding colors of tan and blue. Guests had so much fun and have been leaving awesome messages on all the photos posted on Facebook.

April & Andrew | Hale Koa | 02.19.12

We had so much fun at April & Andrew's wedding (otherwise known as A²). Over 150 poses were 'struck' for us and we loved them all! Check out our gallery page to see a sneak peek of some of our favorites. (For even more from this event click here)

April's mother Bonnie was instrumental in ensuring the color scheme of the event was carried through to our photo lounge as well! She sewed this custom pumpkin striped backdrop that provided a playful and stylish canvas for all the guests.

The fun didn't stop there, because we had a custom Coptic  stitched guest book made in 's wedding colors. Guests were given two copies of their keepsake photos, and asked to share one in the guest book with a note to the bride and groom.

We had so much fun with this cross-fit savvy group and all the creative poses they maneuvered-handstands and human dead-lifting were just a few!

The Wedding Cafe | Ward Center | 02.08.12

Love{struck} was a great hit at the Wednesday Night Workshop at the Wedding Cafe. We debuted one of the most popular of our backdrops, a beautiful sea foam blue and gray velvet number called Sea Horse. We also raffled off both a $250 gift certificate to our Basic package as well as a $250 gift certificate to a Partial Planning package from Ever After Events by Shereen Shariq. Thanks to all that attended and stopped by to find out more! We loved seeing the creativity of all the couples as they played with the "trimmings" (or props).
